The game received a port for the GameBoy Color, adapted for the handheld's more modest capabilities. While the graphics and sounds take a hit to fit the smaller system, the game makes up for it with some fresh new features. This version also feels like a spiritual successor to the Donkey Kong Land series on the original Game Boy, bridging the gap between console and handheld adventures for our favorite Kong.

Donkey Kong Country got another remake for the GBA, that's a step up from its previous rerelease. While the smaller screen and different hardware mean some graphics and sound aren't quite as sharp, but it still sounds good and makes up for it with cool new content. The gameplay stayed completely intact. Also, it has a real restoration project.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest

In the sequel, things get spicier! Donkey Kong's captured, and it’s up to Diddy and his new girlfriend, Dixie Kong, to save him. They venture through the treacherous Crocodile Isle, battling tough enemies and solving puzzles to take down King K. Rool once again.

This one cranks up the difficulty and the fun! Dixie’s abilities, like her helicopter spin, bring a fresh feel to the gameplay. The level designs are cooler, with more creative traps and enemies. Plus, the music? Epic! It’s a perfect mix of challenge and exploration. This game is seriously a classic that adds depth to the franchise.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

In the third installment, we’re back with Dixie and her baby cousin, Kiddy Kong, on a quest to find Donkey and Diddy, who have gone missing. They navigate the snowy landscapes and marshy areas of the Northern Kremisphere to rescue the boys and take down K. Rool once more.

This one’s kinda the underdog of the trilogy. Kiddy might seem like a weird choice, but he brings some unique mechanics to the table. The graphics are still stunning, but the level design feels a bit less inspired compared to the first two. Don’t get me wrong tho, it’s still got charm. The game’s got some mini-games and secrets, keeping it fun. It’s not quite as memorable as the first two, but still worth the ride.
