She's loud, rude and obsessed with internet culture to a degree that's only hilarious if you're in on the joke, she uses loltalk and references memes, anime and indie games like they're going out of style. You'll either find her ridiculously charming or you'll want to wash your eyes with bleach. Her dialogue is so packed with early 2010s Tumblr humor complete with yo mama jokes and yaoi references, but beneath all that rage comics energy, there's an amount of heart in this game, especially when you see her bond with Shibe, who's basically the straight man to her chaos.

The gameplay is super simple, just walking around, chatting with a whole cast of dog breeds and doing fetch quests to progress the story. The battles are a joke, literally; you insult your opponents instead of actually fighting, which fits the game's vibe perfectly and it's not difficult at all, you're mostly here for the ride. The art is cute and colorful, exactly what you'd expect from a game that wants to be the happiest and least scary thing ever made in RPG Maker. The music does its job but you'll probably be too busy with the absurdity of it all to notice it too much. The whole thing wraps up in about an hour, which is perfect because it doesn't overstay its welcome.

Now, the story itself. It's got two endings and they're a huge part of what makes the game more than just a joke machine. Without spoiling anything, your choices can lead to a genuinely sweet moment that shows Pom actually cares or a route that's more bitter, it's this mix of absurd humor and unexpected emotion that makes the game feel complete, you've got this frantic search for Wi-Fi and then a moment that's just… nice. That tonal whiplash is what sticks with you and it's probably why people still talk about it years later. It's a game that works because it knows exactly what it is: a silly heartfelt project from a young creator that hits a very specific nostalgic nerve.
