NEON GENESIS EVANGELION: Ayanami Raising Project with Asuka Supplement Project
In NEON GENESIS EVANGELION: Ayanami Raising Project with Asuka Supplement Project you play as a NERV lieutenant (no name, 'cause Gendo doesn't care about you) tasked with raising Rei Ayanami, or Asuka if you unlock her route. The goal? Mold her into… eh, whatever you want actually. Violinist, S&M queen, gun toting maid? Yeah, it gets weird.
The game covers the timeline of the original series, including THE END OF EVANGELION, but with way more domestic sim elements and fewer apocalyptic meltdowns, depending on your choices.

The core loop is classic life sim: schedule Rei's (or Asuka's) week with classes, NERV duties or leisure activities. Stats like intelligence, strength and charm affect her growth and ending. There's a time limit (one in game year) so you gotta prioritize. Want her to be a genius scientist? Grind those books. Prefer her to date Shinji? Go for it. The Asuka route, added in the PlayStation 2 version, plays similarly but with her bratty personality shaking things up, good luck getting her to obey.
The game nails the EVA cast's vibes. Rei starts off emotionless but can soften, or spiral into bizarre career paths. Asuka's route leans into her tsundere chaos with Hikari and the San-Baka trio (Shinji, Toji and Kensuke) adding school life flavor. Gendo's still a cold bastard, Misato's freeloading off you and Ritsuko's there to remind you Rei's technically a clone.
The PS2 version slaps with the classic A Cruel Angel's Thesis OP, while the DS port adds Soul’s Refrain as an ED. Visually, it’s early 2000s anime aesthetic, nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. The UI is functional, tho menu heavy.
