ONE PIECE: Unlimited World RED
ONE PIECE: Unlimited World RED follows the Straw Hat crew as they explore Transtown, a hub town they help rebuild between missions, only to get tangled up in a wild adventure involving a mysterious tanuki-like creature named Pato and a legendary pirate, Patrick Redfield. You pick a Straw Hat (or unlockable guest characters like Ace, Law or even Whitebeard), then smash through hordes of enemies in linear stages. Combat's fluid, with basic combos, special moves powered by a SP gauge you fill by attacking, and a dodge/counter system that keeps fights engaging. The 3DS controls work well, tho the camera can be a little janky in tight spaces.

Outside of combat, you'll gather materials by fishing, bug catching and mining, stuff that feeds into Transtown's upgrades. These side activities aren't deep but they add a nice break from the action. The strong words system lets you equip buffs like attack boosts or faster SP recovery, adding a light customization layer. Where the game shines is in its multiplayer, up to four players can team up in coop missions via local play, which is cool if you've got friends into One Piece. The solo experience is fun but gets repetitive if you're grinding for materials.
The plot is basically a «best of» reel of One Piece arcs; Arabasta, Enies Lobby and Marineford but with a twist: Redfield, an old school pirate from Roger's era, is recreating these locations and villains from the Straw Hats' memories using Pato's powers. It's a neat excuse to revisit past fights (Crocodile, Lucci even Enel), tho the original story around Redfield is hit or miss. The writing stays true to the series' tone, mixing goofy humor with big dramatic moments.
