The gameplay itself is deceptively simple at first, just hitting notes in time with the music videos but it ramps up into a really demanding test of coordination with multibutton holds and rapid slides, especially on the higher difficulties that'll have you practicing for weeks. Playing_PC_Games Beyond the official release, the real magic comes from the modding scene, where people are constantly adding new songs, custom outfits and all sorts of creative tweaks that basically make the game endless. woooow

Seriously, you won't believe the level of dedication in this modding scene, because some fucking absolute legend actually made this game playable on a Nintendo DS. Yeah, the actual DS! mindblown It's actually a tool that lets you load the song and chart files onto the handheld so you can play them there and it was created by the same guy who ported the original Super Mario 64 to the DSi, which honestly tells you everything about the skill level involved. shock

Bored Gotta be honest, the presentation is super barebones, we're talking a basic text menu and no background videos at all during gameplay, but the core rhythm gameplay with all the notes and difficulties is completely intact. The controls actually translate pretty well to the DS buttons, feeling a lot like the official Project Mirai series, tho it has the same quirk as PaRappa the Rapper and UmJammer Lammy since the original PlayStation button symbols on the charts can be confusing at first, so you gotta figure out which button is which as you go, tho you likely won't have that issue if you already own one of those consoles. Confused

Anyways, the fact that this exists at all is just mind blowing. It's obviously not replacing the Switch and PC experiences with all its visuals, but still, this is a wildly impressive passion project that deserves way more attention.Excited

And get this, it could potentially open the door for other games in the series down the line. It won't be soon but if I succeed in getting titles from the PSP, Vita, or even PS3 and PS4 running, I'll definitely come back and share those with you, guys! AmoEmpoolHappy I'll probably rework the existing Hatsune Miku Thread if that happens. Oh, by the way! This is my chunkiest release ever. Seriously, this shit is around 4.5GB. ChildeInsane For reference, Bee & PuppyCat: Lazy in Space or Fire Emblem Warriors with all its DLCs cap at 4GB. So yeah, this one's even fatter than Teto! ChildeInsane One last thing, if you'd like to support this, the creator's on Patreon. Every little bit keeps him motivated, and letting him know how hyped you are about this means even more! nezuko_jump
