Papers, Please

Papers, Please is a puzzle game disguised as a desk job, and somehow that's one of the best things about it. Homero antipala You play as a border inspector in the fictional communist state of Arstotzka, where your daily task is to examine passports, permits and other documents before deciding who gets to enter the country. Sounds simple enough, until the regulations start changing, the paperwork gets increasingly complicated and every little mistake can cost you money, and you'd really rather not lose that money 'cuz you've got a family to feed, rent to pay and a government that doesn't give a shit about your problems, just like in real life!! aoi_asahina_happy  Between desperate travelers, suspicious documents, bribes and some genuinely difficult moral choices, every shift becomes its own little balancing act. Do you follow the rules, help someone in need or risk your own family's livelihood? Glory to Arstotzka, I guess. exhausted_ciggy

There's also some homebrew ports built from scratch for our beloved 3DS, making clever use of both screens: the top displays the border checkpoint and its daily happenings while the touchscreen becomes your actual inspection desk, where you can drag documents around, flip through the rulebook and stamp passports. Nerd It includes an unfinished campaign with procedural shifts beyond the initial story, multiple document types, the family expenses, save support and the 3 challenges for the endless mode. Do keep in mind that it's still an a beta with no sound at all and seems it was made by AI, so occasional crashes and bugs can happen, particularly on Old models.  JeffTheSad

You've made it through the entire inspection process and reached the end of your shift! I'd say you've earned a little break. Now it's time to get this bureaucratic thing running on your 3DS. Scan the QR code below using the FBI app and let the game install onto your system. Once it's ready, your very own border checkpoint will be waiting on your HOME Menu, complete with paperwork, stamps and plenty of questionable decisions. Just remember to follow the rules and remember to keep your family fed. GLORY TO ARSTOTZKA!
