The fighting is straightforward and fun, no charging ki manually here, as it fills up on its own during battles. Supers and Ultimates can be triggered either by touchscreen inputs or classic button combos, adding some flexibility. The Ultimate moves even have a minigame to determine their success, which keeps things engaging. The controls are simple: light and heavy combos, parries, throws and energy blasts, all mapped intuitively. No in game transformations, but with over 50 characters including deep cuts like King Kai and Zarbon, there’s plenty of variety.

The Story Mode is a condensed retelling of DBZ, hitting all the major beats. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it's solid fanservice. Challenge Mode spices things up with specific objectives, while Versus Mode lets you go wild in 1v1, 2v2, or even 3v3 battles, local multiplayer only tho. Training and Customize modes are basic but functional, letting you tweak costumes (like slapping scouters back on Vegeta or Freeza).

The roster is stacked, covering almost every major DBZ character, even weird picks like Chiaotzu and King Kai, marking his first playable appearance. Some characters have multiple forms (like Goku’s SSJ1-3), but they’re treated as separate fighters. The stages are classic DRAGON BALL locales, from Namek to the Cell Games arena, tho they're mostly just backdrops with little interaction.
