Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: Another Story
Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: Another Story slots itself between the Death Busters and Dead Moon Circus arcs of the anime, throwing the Sailor Guardians into an original plot where a time traveling sorceress named Apsu and her Opposito Guardians are messing with history. Their goal? Resurrecting old villains, twisting fates and gunning for the Silver Crystal. It’s up to Usagi and the gals (including the Outer Sailor Guardians!) to fix the timeline and save Crystal Tokyo. Simple premise, but packed with fan service and some surprisingly deep RPG mechanics for an anime game.

If you’ve played CHRONO TRIGGER or any Final Fantasy from the old school, the gameplay here will feel familiar: top down exploration, random encounters and turn based battles. But Another Story spices things up with Link Techs, where specific Sailor Guardians can team up for combo attacks. Want to see Mars and Jupiter roast enemies together? You got it. The game also lets you swap between the Inner and Outer Sailor Guardians, tho story beats sometimes lock your party.
The battle system is straightforward but fun with each Guardian having unique attacks ripped straight from the anime. The difficulty ain’t brutal but the final boss has two endings, win for the good ending, lose for the bad ending. There’s even a collectible puzzle minigame that rewards completionists, nothing groundbreaking tho. The soundtrack slaps with classic magical girl tunes with RPG flair, handled by the anime composer Takanori Arisawa. If you’re a fan of JRPGs or just love Sailor Moon, this one's worth emulating.
